ACCA Scotland re-elects Peter Fee as Deputy President
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Scotland re-elected Peter Fee as its Deputy President at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 29 May 2008. ACCA is the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body and in Scotland has over 7,000 members and students.
Peter is the financial controller for a national professional service firm. Having commenced his career in banking, he qualified as a member of ACCA in 1996 and was awarded fellowship in 2001. Since qualifying he has worked in a number of diverse industries and was also a part time lecturer in accounting for Clydebank College.
He has been on the ACCA Scotland Committee for approximately ten years, having previously been a member of the Glasgow and West of Scotland panel. He is also on ACCA’s business law review committee.
Speaking about his Deputy Presidency, Peter said: “Members of ACCA Scotland work in all areas of industry and contribute hugely to the local economy. I very much look forward to spending the next year working with my colleagues to further the interests of the profession in Scotland.”
On Thursday’s AGM, Hazel Burt was re-elected President of ACCA Scotland.
