ACCA's CFO Challenge - The Latest Business Game
ACCA Singapore today announced the launch of it newest innovative business game - ACCA's CFO Challenge! Tailored specially for accounting and finance students, this exciting game will challenge them to prove their skills and knowledge in accounting, finance and business in a fun and interactive way. Students will also need to prove their abilities to communicate and present well, work cohesively in a team and under pressure.
ACCA's CFO Challenge aims to give students insight into the fascinating world of accountancy and business, highlight the important roles played by accounting and finance professionals in the corporate world and offer a glimpse into the executive office of the CFO by inviting high-profile business leaders to judge the Grand Final. Through this latest initiative, ACCA hopes to inspire bright young talents to start thinking and aspiring to become CFOs of the future.
Students between 16-25 years old and who are studying in a tertiary institution are eligible to participate and are encouraged to form teams of three. Students from NTU, SMU, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic have already registered their participation. ACCA's Approved Learning Providers Singapore Accountancy Academy and Kaplan Financial have also sent in their teams.
A Qualifying Round which includes a written test will take place on Wednesday, 17 December. The Semi-Final is slated for Friday, 9 January 2009 and the Grand-Final will culminate on Saturday, 17 January 2009.

ACCA will continue to do its part to promote interest in the profession not only through its latest business game but also through the ACCA Qualification which trains and prepares thousands of students for rewarding careers. Demand for the qualification has remained robust. ACCA Singapore has been experiencing double digit growth in enrolment annually for the past few years."
